Building Permit Applications

- Incomplete permit applications will be returned -

Please allow up to 30 days for processing. 
Inspections must be scheduled 48 hours in advance.
 

BUILDING PERMITS ARE NOT REQUIRED FOR: 

- Roofing or siding
- Replacement windows or doors (exact size replacement only)
- Sheds under 120 ft² (10x12) [you must still meet the setback requirements in your zone] 
- Fencing 7' and under [finished side must face your neighbor and fence must be on your property line]
- Retaining walls under 4'

BUILDING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED FOR:

- New homes (including mobile and manufactured)
- All commercial projects
- Garages
- Solar systems
- Sheds over 120 ft2 (including prebuilt) and temporary storage containers
- In ground AND above ground pools
- Insulation
- Reframing of windows and doors
- Foundation repair
- Decks
- Fences over 7' 
- Retaining walls over 4', will also require engineered design 
- Any other projects that require structural changes

Permits may be pulled in person

Monday - Thursday 8:30 am - 12 pm & 2 pm-4:30 pm, and Fridays 1-4pm.
