The Farmington Water Department supplies well water that meets all current State and Federal standards to approximately 3,300 people. The Town utilizes three gravel packed wells to supply all water. Farmington currently has a reserve capacity of 475,000 gallons per day. The current water rate is $2.67 per 100 cubic feet of water used.

The Farmington Wastewater Department operates a secondary wastwater treatment facility with a design flow of 0.350MGD. The average daily flow is currently 0.225MGD. The Town is in the process of reviewing alternatives for a facility upgrade to be completed in the next 2 to 3 years. The Town's sewer rate currently is $4.50 per 100 cubic feet and has been stable at that rate for more than five years.
