Farmington, New Hampshire is a healthy mix of industrial, retail, and service sector business, with a robust downtown that still reflects its past in a quaint and attractive setting. State of New Hampshire Routes 11, 153 and 75 intersect the town, providing important links to the Northeast and Canada.
Route 11 serves as the industrial corridor in Farmington, where companies like Samco, Inc. (30 employees),, Cameron’s Sod Farm (25 employees), and Pike Industries (40 employees) are located. Route 153 travels directly through the downtown, where along the way one will pass the Sarah Greenfield Business Park, one of two business/industrial parks now containing four thriving companies, with another projected to be open by November 2003.
In the downtown, Farmington’s anchor businesses are TDS Telephone (60 employees) and TD Bank (20 employees), along with a myriad of other service, retail and eating establishments.
In addition to a diverse economy, Farmington provides a great environment for families and children. Sports and other activities abound through the school system and the Town of Farmington Parks and Recreation Department. Seniors don't despair, as there are recreational activities for you as well. Three municipal parks, ball fields, and conservation areas along the Mad River and other nature walks in town ensure a little bit of everything to pique your interest!
